EASY 6-INCH CHOCOLATE CAKE
YOU WILL NEED
– 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour – 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons (175g) granulated sugar – 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons (30g) natural unsweetened cocoa powder – 1/2 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1 large egg – 1/2 cup milk any percentage – 1/4 cup vegetable oil – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/3 cup very hot water or coffee
STEP 1
Whisk together dry ingredients. Add egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla and mix well. Add hot water or coffee and stir until combined.
STEP 2
Transfer batter to cake pans. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
STEP 3
Frost cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting. And top with sprinkles if desired.
