THE BEST DUTCH APPLE PIE

YOU WILL NEED

– 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust  Pie Topping – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 1/2 cup brown sugar – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/2 cup butter softened Pie Filling – 7 cups peeled and finely sliced Granny Smith apples  – 1 tablespoon lemon juice – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 cup brown sugar – 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon salt – Pinch of ground nutmeg

STEP 1

In a medium bowl, combine crumble ingredients and mix until crumbles form. 

STEP 2

In a large bowl, stir together filling ingredients. 

STEP 3

Layer the sliced apples into your prepared pie crust.

STEP 4

Drop the crumble topping over the filling.

STEP 5

Bake until crumble is golden and apples are cooked through. 

STEP 6

Slice, top with a scoop of ice cream, and enjoy!
